Meet our Bank Holiday Bingo winners!

The Centre ran its event on Monday 30th May, offering shoppers who visited the Centre on the day something extra special. Shoppers were encouraged to check out everything that the Centre has to offer, from electronic games, to sportswear, books, cafes, cards, ideas and inspiration from the variety stores and ladies fashion.

Shoppers visited the nine nominated stores in the Centre (Robert Dyas, BB's Coffee & Muffins, Game, JD Sports, Poundland, Wilkinson, Clinton Cards, New Look and The Works) and when they completed their purchase at the till, received a stamp on their bingo card. There was no minimum purchase and shoppers were able to find trinkets and gifts for all the family at the great value stores that took part. Then, when they had filled in the number of lines they wanted to play, customers took the card to the team on the mall and handed it into their care for the overall prize draw.

Mrs Claire Foote took the first prize of £500 shopping spree and was delighted to be able to treat herself and her family to some treats in the Centre's stores. She chose a combination of vouchers from stores at the Centre including Sports Direct, New Look, Game and Robert Dyas – we can see a great summer of fitness, fashion, family entertainment and outdoor style beckoning!

Meanwhile Mrs June Burtonshaw, also of Boscombe, was the grateful winner of the second prize of £350 in vouchers from the Centre and promptly treated her children. The competition came at just the right time as both her son and daughter have birthdays in June and she was thrilled to be able to treat them to sprees from Game, New Look and Boots.

The third prize winner, Clare Thorpe of Boscombe was extremely pleased to be able to gain £150 of vouchers for her single-line entry and chose from Wilkinson, Sports Direct and Peacocks.

All three met up with Centre Administrator Joan Neale who was excited to meet the lucky ladies and their families and to hand over the goodies. "The Sovereign Centre was delighted with the public's response to our first game of Bank Holiday Bingo and our gratitude must go to the staff and managers from the participating stores who made it such a fun and successful event. We are looking forward to holding the event again next year and to making it bigger and better!"
